Can a 1377 take out a squirel at 35ft? What is the recommended fps and can I get that with a stock 1377? If not, what are some mods I would need to accomplish this?
My 1377 started out as a mice/rat killer. I had no issues with those. However, they were at a range of 15ft.
I see the search feature now, thanks. |

EXCELLENT---using the "search" will probably answer all your questions Let me just say this..it is NOT FPS that you need be concerned with , but rather the FPE, delivered @ target..For squirrels I believe the very minimum is 3 fpe..and that is with good shot placement. |

Yes... you can take a nutter at 35 feet,with a 1377.However...I would not try a body shot though,as it's not a sure,quick,humane kill with the FPE a stock 1377 puts out.Go for a fusebox shot,between the eye,and ear.Shot placement is your friend...get plenty of practice first...your working with a pretty small kill zone,especially @35 with a pistol. |

ill help you out
i have taken squirrels out at 10yds with a stock 1377
shot plcement is the most important key
seeing youre in WI you can go with a flat top set up which is
a valve with the front flattened and a piston with a flat top instead of the rubber cup
it will add around 70-100 fps to your gun.add a longer barrel up goes the fps again
with just the first mod you should be good out to at least 20yds if you do your part
where do you get the flat top parts check out
www.accustomparts.com
www.mellonair.com
i got flat top set ups from both of them
great prices and fast shipping
the faster your gun shoots a heavier pellet can be used,up goes your fpe
remember shot placement is more important than the fpe and fps imo |
