I'm really wanting a carbine that can pack a punch (700-900 fps). Something that will allow me to take multiple (5-8) shots before having to reload a magazine. PCP only. I also want something that has a bolt-action. Caliber is not so much an issue, I'd like to stay in the .177 to .22 cal. range.

I've yet to find anything like this in my $600 price range (probabley for good reason). Does anyone have any recommendations? Are there any shooting systems like this on any current airgun rifles the I could have modified?

Still very green to this sport. Thanks!

Here are a couple choices in compact PCP's repeaters that fit your requirements,"or at least as close to it as possible".Based on the money you wish to spend you are going to be very limited,as you have to purchase a pump or tank to charge the gun as well.Remember to throw in the price of optics here too.Your initial cash outlay when getting into PCP's can get pricey. You can expect to spend $1000,and up to get into repeating PCP's...no real way around that, but well worth it.Remember!...The pull of the Darkside is strong....you've been warned...Laughing Razz

It's often stated that the problem with Air Arms is that there is no problem with Air Arms. Price is about right and you get a match-grade gun. Finish is terrific.

Thanks for the suggestions. I agree, this will eventually consume me. I already spend too much time at work just looking over all the different mods.

Air Arms makes a beautiful product. Believe me, if I had that kind of money, I would own one. In fact, Im going to try and model my next gun to look similar.

Given the price I'm working with, I think Crosman is going to get my money. I'm a smaller guy so even a 38" wouldn't fit me like a carbine.

Really hoping the aftermarket pieces for the maurader is every bit at nice as the 1377.

If you can live with single shot, instead of a repeater, then an AirForce gun would serve you well..I have a TalonSS..it is like 35" inches, weighs only 5.25 lbs.,and can be had for $325.00 (and up) for a good used one. comes in .177,.22, and .25 , 12" barrel, 18" barrel , and a 24" barrel. LOTS of mods /accessories available. You can change barrel/caliber in less than 5 minutes--VERY versatile. As far as accuracy, have a look at this..I just shot this group a couple of days ago...10.2 Beeman Kodiak Match pellets, .177, TalonSS with 12" barrrel, power wheel set on #4 5 shots at 47 yards Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green

What else can I say.......
