Very Inpressed with the last three posts from Packrat Kanya and AirgunEric. Very great info for me! Packrat think I am being just like you were Ive gone Airgun buying crazy to find something cheap Im gonna be happy with long term and its prolly not gonna happen. The bronco I bought which I still havent even shot it or mounted the scope but should this by weekend is a very stunning and well built rifle to me ofcourse that may change once I shoot it. Also the Tech Force 78 Gold I bought is also very nice(havent shot that one either yet tho) Question You make total sense to me and after reading what you said it makes sense to spend more to be way happier with what your getting. Idea Not only are the upper shelf models so much more well built they give the power performance and accuracy I am wanting! Kanya thanks for the post biut the AR6 cause Im wantin more than 15 shots before I have to refill. Im not looking to purchase just a hunting air gun but a multi purpose air gun. Airguneric I get your financial aspect with this also and am going to first make some calls bout the accs I need and get pricing for that then chose a rifle. However tho the two left are the maurader and the "Hasten" IE halestorm that PA calls it are very close in price to each other tho the maurader comes in .25 cal and as far as I know the "Hasten" doesnt. Left just a few things out guys...how many fills can I approx expect with a scube tank and what are these buddy bottles and wheres the best place to find those should I want to add them to the complete package of my purchase. Thanks so much for your help so far I am really feeling much better about the whole PCP's Mr. Green

One more question. I was just browsing some posts and seen something that talked about mounts and a rule of thumb. Am I in trouble here if I mount a leapers 3x9 Scope on either the Bronco or the Tech Force rifles with high profile rings?! Embarassed

The rule of thumb is for mount heights that will allow the objective lens to clear the tube.
30mm short
30 to 42mm medium
greater than 42mm tall
As far as using high rings that would be totally dependent on your facial features and the height of the comb or cheek rest.

Ideally when you plant your cheek you should have a full field of view in the scope without lifting your cheek or trying to squish down.

A trick I use to fine tune things is to slide the scope forward on the mounts until you have a reduced field of view... this will give you a darkened area around the outside.
Then naturally plant (weld) your cheek and if the image isn't in the exact center of the darkened area you need to adjust the comb or the mount height.

Grab yourself an AR6 and some Eun Jin 32 grain pointed pellets and be ready to hit anything you aim at. If you plan on hunting that is. I've had some trigger time with the thumb hole stock version and it's the raw deal. I believe it's kicking those pellets out at about 1125ish but I'd have to ask to be sure
I have a thumbhole AR6 and it loves! 32gr eunjins!!! I get a good 950+ ave out if it over 24 shots!! Fast fun and ACCURATE I site it in for 50yrds and hit anything that comes my way!!

That's no joke either, the AR6 could seriously be labeled a sniper rifle. The power it puts out isn't something to play with and you'd be well advised not to hand the gun to anyone under 12!

Just get a Condor...

You can do anything to them, changed barrels in 2mins, switch power plants in seconds, unlimited add-ons, can be adjusted/tuned from mild to wild Twisted Evil

i have them all.

PCP are the easiest to shoot, and possibly, the most accurate of the lot as they have no recoil. (oddly enough, one of my fav rifles is a Beeman RX1 in .20 caliber...it has quite a bit of recoil)

the support apparatus is perhaps the biggest setback when considering PCP, though.

i went the SCUBA tank and hand-pump route. i can get a 3000 lb refill from my 'local' paintball shop for $4.00. once my SCUBA tank gets below 1500 psi i use the hand-pump to 'top off'; some inconvenience? yes...I'm considering a shoebox but that's still a ways off.

the springs and gas pistons are fun but don't have the power the PCP's are capable of. (i do not do modifications much more than factory stock on most of my air rifles.)

the single biggest set back, IMO, is the having to replenish the air supply for a PCP.

You should sell the pump and scuba tank and get a carbon fiber 4500PSI tank...if you can get 4500PSI fills in your area Wink
