Only had the TSS for a few days...need to work on trigger, it's terrible compared to my 22xx's and the S410...not shooting too bad though...I've got some H&N's and Beeman Kodiaks on order...will see how they shoot Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green

Here's 3 7 shot groups I did today, after doing some work to the trigger on my new .177 TalonSS
I shot the "vertical" one just to see if I could do it Mr. Green The other group on that same pice of paper would have been good, I hadn't "pulled" the shot ( not the gun's fault) The other one is the very best group I think I've EVER shot...the trigger mods were well worth what little effort it took!!!

I forgot to measure the center-to-center distance, but I can tell you that those little squares are 1 inch, so that should give you some idea of the groups.....I'm just happy as I can be with the TSS .
BTW the pellet I used was Crosman 10.5, .177, Ultra-Magums.

Nice going packrat the groups are closing up nicely, have you tried AirArms Field pellets in your 410 if so try them in the Talon, their 8.3 grain and shoot well in all my guns.

Al

Thanks, yes I tried the AA Field Heavy pellets, 10.33 in the TSS...they're the ones with 4.52mm skirt....they shot good for about the first 20 shots or so, after that they went B A D...I figured out later that my Talon shoots the 4.50mm pellets MUCH BETTER., because after the AA's I tried some Gamo Domed Hunters that were 4.52 (and larger) thay also shot poorly..Then I tried H&N 10.65 Barrcuda's 10.65 and they shoot laser-straight,,,EVERY shot.. I shot a LOT of pellets..the H&N barracudas, and Crosman Premier Ultra-Mags are both the very best..and the Crosmans are $9.99 for a 500 ct.tin and I can buy them locally Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green bit of good luck there!

DAMMITMAN !!! LOOK at this, I actually just shot this group a little while ago..I am so pumped about the TalonSS NEVER will shoot any better than this, but I did at least shoot it one time Mr. Green Mr. Green ..
.177, using 10.2 Beeman Kodiak Match pellets.....5 shot group done at 47 yards..with Power Wheel on 4. Only mods are a little trigger work...man I am so happy right now..even if I am 63 years old- it's exciting....

It appears I did find the "perfect" pellet for the gun, huh?

Wow!... Shocked Now that is something to be proud of.Question for you Pack...Being that this is the second SS you've owned, and If I can remember correctly...your first was in .22?Do you feel that the .177 is more accurate thus far..or about the same in both configurations?...just curious bud.

I am sorry for taking soooo long to answer your question, I apologize Embarassed Yes, my first TSS was a .22 caliber...I think the accuracy was pretty much matched..until I did some trigger work on my current one, the .177..It REALLY made a difference. I Honestly think that if I'd done the same trigger work to the first one it would be right on par with the one I have now Smile
