I've been studying the new Crosman Marauder Pistol and once they get around to releasing a parts diagram and eventually supplying the parts.... I see a bright future in utilizing those parts for modding our beloved 22XX series.... I read in an article that the tube is based on the 2260, and assuming that is correct, here are a few things I feel will be of interest....

The Repeater Breech.... The gun uses an 8-shot version of the MRod rifle clip.... This assembly (breech/bolt/clip) should allow the 22XX series to be made into a repeater.... The barrel would be higher above the tube, and provision would have to be made for the O-ring in the end of the barrel required to seal the bolt.... Holes would have to be drilled and tapped in the 22XX tube to mount the front of the new breech, or an MRod pistol tube used.... That silly 4-48 screw under the bolt is eliminated....

Adjustable Hammer.... The MRod pistol has a hammer that is adjustable in length to adjust the distance the hammer travels (ie its "fall").... Assuming the ID of the tube is the same as on a 22XX, this should slide right in.... It is adjusted through a hole in the RVA screw.... Either the Crosman RVA could be used, or you could simply drill a hole through the screw on the one you have....

Two-Stage Adjustable Trigger.... If you have a recently produced 13XX or 22XX pistol grip frame, you will have noticed that it has changed.... There is now a plastic side plate and provision for an additional pivot pin.... The MRod pistol utilizes the same grip frame but has a "drop sear" and an intermediate link.... The trigger is fully adjustable for 1st and 2nd stage length, weight of pull, and overtravel.... It would appear that those parts should be a "drop in" replacement for the stock 13XX / 22XX trigger.... One major advantage I can see is that the drop sear should for the most part eliminate the increase in trigger pull when stiffer hammer springs are used....

New Main Tube.... The main tube itself no longer has the safety roll-stamp that causes concern with HPA conversions.... It is rated to 3000 psi working pressure.... and already has the three mounting holes for the valve, which is likely similar to a Disco.... Of course it is also drilled to mount the new repeating breech....

Yes, I see a bright future for those who love to tinker.... Mr. Green

Glad to hear it, as I sometimes think I enjoy the tinkering as much or more, than the shooting Mr. Green Mr. Green

The M-rod breach has 2 front hold down screws that attach to the top sides of the valve... Drilling & taping the valve is a must... but that also locks in the valve... Hummmmmmm

I didn't notice that the front breech screws went into the valve.... The valve must have a pretty thick wall for that?....

I'm going to use similar screws for the breech on my Hayabusa.... but they will screw into a barrel/tank band, with a notch in the bottom of the breech....
