I got this new Tech Force 58 side lever rifle and a regular scope is too long as it covers half the breech opening so I got a Lepers Bug Buster Compact and it fits perfectly. However it also has a short eye relief making me have to push my face forward to get a full view. I removed the rubber butt pad and it made the reach to use the scope much better.

So what I am looking for are ideas of what I can use to make a thin butt pad.

I have an after market butt pad for my Avanti 853c to add to the length of the stock and it is too thick as would the other aftermarket butt pads I have found.

Try a set of reach forward/ back mounts, they work for me.

I thought about using some of those rings that have an offset to them like these....

I think I would need to use them backwards to how they were ment to be used and I'm not sure that would be good and they are almost as expensive as the scope. So I'm kind of hoping to find another way.

I've come up with the idea of using some cut strips of leather glued to the desired thickness and trimmed to shape. Just not sure they would work well.
