| I have taken a new interest in pellet rifles. I would like suggestions on what lubricants to use and on what parts of the rifle to use them. I am very familiear with the cleaning of firearms but this seems to be a lot different. Thank you for any information. |

Gee Fritz... be nice...
Just say "NO" to Bore cleaning!
Simple... First clean it to get the manufacture crap out... Season your barrel by shooting it... don't clean the bore unless you've done work on the barrel or dropped it in muck...
Clean the rest of the gun an oil the exterior and mechanisms...
Silicone base for HPA/PCP & Springers in the chamber areas only! I personally use "Trident" brand Divers Grease... (online or dive shop)...
Use no petroleum base products in these areas... it could get EXPLOSIVE!
PellGunOil is for Co2 Guns only!
For rust prevention on the Exterior surfaces... I personally like Lucas Gun Oil.
Wood care.... normal wood care products...
In short... Air Guns like to be well used and put away dirty.... |

Airguns are nice like that 
Many people have told me that its cool to fire a brick of .22LR ammo in one day then leave the gun to rot in a safe for a year... If it gets shot it gets cleaned. 
Joe is correct in that aiguns generally do not need to be cleaned often. Just wiped down before storage. |

One of these 2 to 3 dollar silicone gun clothes you can get in most sporting goods areas is great for that and they last a long time. |
