So my roommates and I just got a dart board and some crappy darts that already broke. I was looking at the store for parts and they have flights in 4 different shapes and shafts in different lengths, some even have spinners on them. Whats the difference between all these options? thanks

I played a small bit of darts years ago and I still have no idea what all the different shapes and sizes mean (but I really wasn't all that interested either- it was just an excuse to drink). Some of those club/league types I would see would bring what seemed to be a toolbox with different dart styles in them- so I assume each different setup has some effect on shooting, but maybe if you're right or left-handed makes some difference too? Of course, those guys may just have had more money than brains- I really don't know.

Hi dedpool
i don't know about the spinners but usualy you sort out what setup suites you best, try diffrent combinations of shaft and flight and see which is the most consistant.
Have fun.

Every time I look at this topic a company called "National Darts" pops up. Maybe they have some sort of resources for dart info/types?

Sorry dedpool, basic darts are cheap over here (which makes a change) except for Tungsten or more exotic metals, a lot of people over here use brass darts with plastic shafts and paper flights which you can cut to any shape you like, or make your own.

Darts? Like I told someone who started telling me about paintball: don't even get me thinking about yet-another hobby!

Go buy one of those cheap Marksman pistols and a couple dozen darts to go with it.
Now your talking darts!!!
I have one with an old bristle dart board. @ 20 feet across my rec. room its a blast. Just don't let no drunks play with it ,they like to shoot everything but the dart board.
Been there Done that!!!
