Apparently, I have started a fashion trend. This is a guy in the next block, out blowing snow with his orange beanie hat:
Another neighbor who compensates for the lack of orange with bigger machinery (mine is a little Toro 2 cycle):
Not too bad - 14 inches of snow yesterday, wind gusting to 45 MPH, and the temperature dropped to 0 deg. F. overnight. The streets were clear at 5:00 AM when I went out, and most neighbors will be done digging out by noon.
I've got the smallest equipment in the neighborhood, so I stick to home. The guys with the big ones take care of the old ladies on the block. |

Not too bad? Wow....we're spoiled here in Cali.It was like 39 deg.here a week or so ago with no snow, and people were complaining about it....
Personally I'll take cold, and snow over scorching heat any day.I want to take my wife to Tahoe soon, but she's worried about putting on what she calls "the metal tire thingies" .....Tire chains.... Don't worry dear...me knows how to put on the metal tire thingies..... |

| You PCP guys think a hand pump is a lot of work - imagine the poor guy that has to stay up all night pumping that thing up! |

I don't get too excited by the Minnesota Viqueens; they run hot and cold. Now the cheerleaders - that's another story. Here they are expressing their displeasure with the guy in charge of Metrodome snow removal:

I carry a shovel to pry chunks from the big snowbanks, and then use the little Toro to do the lifting. If you're patient you can move mountains without much effort. |
