Got out the ol' surveyor's tape and did some measuring......had to completely dig up one shrub, and cut back several others, but can now shoot out to 62 yards
FIRST thing I have to say is that sure is a difference from 47 yards out to the 62 yard mark I mean a lot of difference...it definitely shows that I'm no where near as steady as I was at say 19 years old..(I'm 62 now)....but presents a new challenge, and I'n having fun with it..With help of Chairgun ( I love it!! ) I was adjusted to correct setting before ever taking a shot.....first few were all with in 2 inch square....with some practice, I've gotten down to around 1.5 inches consistently. ONLY downside is that I don't get but 12 shots now before there's a change in POI...with the S410..but I HAD to try it ..the gun will shoot much tighter groups, I know the problem is me...show I figure practicing at this distance will help me, all the way round...plus, it keeps it from getting boring, so it's all good...
FWIW, my little 2250B regulated HPA gun still giving me 40 shots before any POI change, and is as accurate (with me shooting at least) as my AA S410.. anyhow , the whole point of this post is this--do yourself a favor and look around, see what you might be able to do...may be that you could get a longer distance for target practice..Being single, I didn't have to "ask" if I could dig up the shrub-I just dug it up..but even if ya are "PW" and have to get permission, it's worth it |

thats a great yard range! i was using about a 20 plus range and just moved back a bit so i can get a longer distance as well. but i went from 20 to maybe 23 plus. thats right up against my fence. you are lucky to get a longer distance. i could go longer if i aimed at my neighbors house. thats not going to happen. have fun with your new range. cutting back some bushes is always worth it! have fun. walt. |

Nice!.....I have like 20 yards, which gets boring after a while...
Cool thing is I finally got off my butt, and downloaded Chairgun 3,and it is WAY cool to play with. Now if I can get my wife to get me a Chrony for Christmas I'll actually be able to USE the program......
Haven't got to the point were I can start digging stuff up,but I'll get there.... |
