| I recently bought my first AG, a Crosman Sierra Pro 0.177 package that was on sale for $159 (I know it is a discontinued model and the sale price reflected that fact). I installed a GRT III trigger and have been shooting at *7 yards*, the maximum distance available inside my house, from a front rest. I have shot 5-shot groups of 0.154 inch, 0.177 inch, 0.187 inch and 0.206 inch with Crosman Competition wadcutters, among many others that are not nearly as good. I have tried a few types of Gamo pellets without any observable improvement in accuracy. Overall, I believe the gun is capable of much better shooting than I am, and I am quite happy with it. The only negative thing about it that I have seen online is that the wood stock is soft and dings easily; I haven't seen any dings in mine yet but it hasn't been outside very much and may show wear with time. Any comments or suggestions for things I should do with this rifle, other than shoot the heck out of it? |

do you have any idea that you live in "muzzlemack" country?
I'm enroute to tatorville.. someday.. www.muzzlemack.com
get it out to 40 yards and see what you can do. try an assortment
of domed pellets in the 8-9 grain range. they'll likely work the best.
and yes, shoot the hell out of it.

"do you have any idea that you live in "muzzlemack" country?"
Only minimally in "muzzlemack" country; you do realize that it is 258 miles from Pocatello to Caldwell? I'm not going to pop in for a Saturday morning browse!
I do appreciate the information, however. I was not aware of "muzzlemack" at all. |

| Woops, sorry Sniper, it was only after I had posted my semi-snarky comment and thought about it a bit that I realized my profile on this forum does not indicate what part of the state I live in, and Idaho is a big state. |
