I am new to the Airgunhome.com so I'll probably have quite a few questions. I would like to get into shooting air pistols, mostly 10M target and plinking. I am considering a used pistol first as I have bought a number of used centerfire and rimfire guns in the past and have been quite satisfied. My only hesitation is that I don't have an airgun smith locally, so if the pistol would need to be resealed, I would have to send it to someone.
What are your thoughts between the 5G and the Tempest for the afore mentioned uses? I don't plan on mounting a scope or dot sight, so that shouldn't be an issue. Any thoughts you might have are welcome.
Thanks. |

| No experience with the 5G or the Tempest, but I love the red dot on my pistol. |

The Tempest is a very nice pistol with good balance nearly all steel made, the only thing bad about it is the low power around 360fps in .177 cal, and there’s not much you can do about it.
As for the 5G I haven't a clue.
BTW Welcome to AirGunHome.
