I am having trouble finding 1" scope mounts for a Sheridan C-Series .20 CAL. pellet rifle. I would prefer raised mounts so I will be able to load the breech. I have a couple of scopes but I can not mount either of them with out a set of mounts that fit this rifle. If anyone knows of a link or source I would like to know it.The gun is right on with iron sites but my 58 year old eyes don't see good any more."bummer"
My mom never threw away my playboy magazines, they say thats why I can't see well !
Anyway any help with this matter would be much appericated.

Just Another Air Gun Nut !
Ps: looking for a service manual too. Mr. Green

I don't suppose it's possible to use the current Crosman intermount sold for newer Blue and Silver Streaks on the 1981 Sheridan? I see Crosman only lists them for "current" models- but is the barrel size different on the older Sheridan guns?

Here's the current model/solution: http://www.crosman.com/site/listing/1090

I really can't use the Crosman mounts because you can not get the proper eye relief.I want to mount a 6X32 Leapers Bug Buster and it has very little eye relief.Looks like I may be talking to my tool maker friend who may be able to whip me out something on the Milling Machine.
Theres a guy on E-Bay who says you have to shim the new Crosman mounts to fit the older barrels. No problem, but some of our guys on the forum may have a better solution.
Thanks for the fast reply Eric
Be safe and have a good week!

Unfortunately, it appears that on guns, especially older guns, the only solution is what you have suggested- custom machined parts. It's too bad there isn't more of a "market" for these sorts of things- that way someone can machine a few pieces and maybe sell off the extras to recover their costs and time. Shrug

Here's another idea, look:

Near the bottom of page- there are three places that still fix older Streaks- perhaps one of them has a ready-to-go solution?

I found some Ben-Sheridan scope mounts (part Number B272) at Bass Pro Shop$17.00.They fit the old Benji just fine. I had to mount both rings on the forward part of the scope tube.It feels real solid I see no problems unless of course you drop it or ram it into a tree.I'll include a couple of pictures to show how it mounted to gain proper eye relif.
Now I can see the target again.

Respectfully
BBGun Bob

I don't think Airguns are fabricated with bashing and ramming in mind in the first place. Mr. Green
