Hello all,
I'm sure that this question is asked far more often than it should but I'll play the bit of, "the new kid" and ask nonetheless and apologize in advance for the redundancy. I'm new to air rifles and am seeking advice. I have a perfect range and a son who is just the right age to start teaching gun safety to. I'm looking for a .22 pellet rifle with a scope to accurately hit a soda can from a range of about 75yards and stay in the <$300.00 range.
Should I buy the gun and scope separately or in a kit?
Is it better to invest in a scope and an average gun or average scope and better gun.
Break barrels seem to be the most common but I'm concerned about accuracy repeatability with a moving barrel...should I be?
Plus any other questions I've missed. |

Well, 75 yards is pretty ambitious.
How about a BAM-B21? Its a Diana 48 copy, a pretty good fixed barrel rifle. Accuracy claims to be 0.5" at 30 yards, so you should be able to hit a tin can at 75 yards with it.

| In my experience not bad at all. I had them compared to my Diana 48 back when I owned one. Both shot equally well. |

| Diana 48 and clones are a heavy gun. IMHO Diana 34 is about the best deal out there now. |
