Howdy:
I've been monitoring this forum for a while & find some of the mods very interesting. So I decided to jump in & get my feet wet. I have a 1077 that's a couple years old, of which has been stock till I started reading all the various mods. So far, I am in the process of adding a bulk air setup consisting of parts from Bryan& Associates & Muzzle Mack.
Some of the other mods, I am doing or trying to do, are of what AirGunEric had posted.
I believe that it was on this forum that someone had mentioned maybe using foam crack sealer to stabilize the barrel. I have not instrumented it yet, but I have found a way to do it & still have the barrel as removable.
I do have one question that I hope someone can help me with: I presently have my 1077 disassembled waiting for parts. The question is about the V spring in front of the hammer assem. Is it the hammer latch spring? I am not up on all these part names. Anyway, I am not sure how that latch spring reinstalls. It had fallen out when I parted the two halve. Thanks in advance |

| The small latch that sits at the top of the hammer is difficult to position the spring (tabs need to be facing the correct way and it can be a bit of an issue. Bonus is, rifle does not need this part to operate, so if you must, it can be left out. |

Thanks, AirGunEric, for the reply.
BTW, if it is ok to leave the latch & spring out, what was it's purpose. And what would change as to the guns operation? Thanks again.. |

| I believe, and don't quote me on this, it's original intent was to help reduce the potential for hammer bounce in the firing cycle and/or accidental discharge by slamming the butt down. |

Once again, Thanks for the input. I have to say, this is a great forum for info. Especially for green horns like me. Old green horns at that:))
And habit forming ?? Does a cat have whiskers? |
