Hi everyone! this is my first post...I'm new to the air gun world. I recently bought a gamo hunter extreme 22cal, w/ the 3-9x50 illuminate scope. I can not get this thing to pattern beyond 10-15 yrds with anything. Can anyone give me any suggestions on a pellet that has patterned well for them? Please help!!!
Thanks! |

| take everything you know about shooting a rifle and make it go bye bye, google artillery hold : basically you want to hold the riffle as loose as possible do not what so ever try and control the recoil... your groups should get better. |

| Spending time perfecting a good hold will do wonders for your accuracy with a springer. They are pretty powerful rig.You will need a heavier pellet for sure to keep the velocity down.Do you have a chronograph? With the right pellet weight, you will be in the low to mid 800's,which is the sweet spot for that gun so I've read.If you do a search, you will find excess velocity, and air guns don't always mix as far as accuracy, and efficiency.IMO this gun should be sold in only .22 as the .177 is not efficient with such a strong power plant.Too much velocity will blow your accuracy. What pellet weight are you shooting through the gun at the moment? |

| Welcome to AGH jcp30. for pellets I would suggest (until you get good with your artillery hold and get your gun broken in) Crosman pellets not because they are especially good but more because they do rather well in most guns. |
