Well... He might just have a scale and the product on hand... that would only make sense, considering he sells the damn things.
If you're interested to this point where you need the shipping weight, might aswell call him so you can place the order while you're at it. |

I haven't weighed one.... but it's heavier than the 13 ci. and 18 ci. if that helps....
He lists the weight of all his tanks to 0.1 lbs.... I would therefore assume that the 22 ci. tank is between 0.95 and 1.05 lbs. with regulator.... ie between 15 and 17 ounces....

Fritz...the few times I 've talked to him were OBVIOUSLY all bad days for him..Hi telephone etiquette "could use a little polishing"...It's not shipping weight I'm after..I couldn't care less about that...my interest is weight hanging out on end of a gun
That 18 ci bottle you have Bob is probably the perfect size..I PM'ed muzzle mack, only one he has is on a 2250xt he built, and he can't get anymore..I was wondering about weight because some other sites I've looked at for bottles have then listed at several different weights...I realize the diff. may just be in the reg. , but figured I'd ask anyway....I've GOT to start being more astute/observant when buying stuff, ya know what I mean Vern? |

AFAIK, those are not shipping weights.... A 9 oz. CO2 tank with brass pin valve weighs 440 gr. (15.5 oz.).... It is the same physical size as an 18 ci. tank although the HPA tank may have a thicker wall.... I would be surprised if the weights on the JDS website are out by more than an ounce at most....

| You should over-build this kind of thing. The last thing anyone needs is to snap off a 3kPSI HPA tank because they built it to handle just the weight of the tank, not thinking about what happens when you hit a branch out in the woods or set the rifle down... |

As was hammered into me by Bob, safety is always on my mind Fritz, and comes first-I'm just toooo pretty to mess up ...but I DO have to also make sure gun is comfortable for me to use, shoot, carry, etc.
Thanks Bob--if it's no more "off" than that, then it is of no concern. |
