I saw a clip about that on last nights news. It's a step in the right direction.... Mr. Green It's nice to see people understand the second Amendment for what it actually means. Different interpretations of what it means need to be thrown out the window for good. It's always been pretty clear to many of us what our Nations forefather's meant... Thumb Up!

From what I can see some of the gun laws on the State level have only affected the honest citizen. The criminals obviously have never been concerned, and that is a big part of the gun issue. They will obtain guns regardless of law.... Rolling Eyes Yet the honest citizen has had to jump through the hoops,to be able to own a firearm for protection.... Evil or Very Mad
I think that if honest people were given more latitude in gun ownership it would actually lower the crime rate overall. My thinking is that on a psychological level the common street thug, might think twice on a violent crime he is about to commit,if he is uncertain who has a firearm, and who doesn't...this is just my opinion though.I'm not one to advocate violence of any sort, but it does happen unfortunately,so it would be nice to see the field leveled out,and the people be able to defend themselves if it comes to that.Guns are just tools nothing more...it's who's hands they end up in that has always been the real issue, and unfortunately there is no way to know who has good or bad intent... Shrug

The war isn't endless... we just haven't pulled out the big guns yet! Rolling Eyes

Seriously, the war has yet to begin. America is starting to see what the liberals (read "socialists") are doing. We should have most of this taken back in November.

If someone pulls something froggy then, S might H the F. At which time, only the people who practice their 2nd amendment freedoms will be able to fight this war. Thus, there is no war.

this thread can go so many different ways. the planet is going through catasrophe. in my own personal life i have been around a lot of death lately (details spared). satan is in office, our country's economy is up sh!t creek. make of that what you want. so, i guess i'm ranting. Rolling Eyes

i heard this decision yesterday morning first thing. i do feel that this country has cancer. it can't go on forever. the basis of our
constitution is the people rebelling with deadly force.
cancer either wins or it doesn't. or you die trying to kill it....

history is being made. Neutral

History always seems to be made at the pointy end of the stick (unless you take the sponge Shocked).

1. Make everything in the US.
2. Kill off about 99.99% of the world population.

Well... problem(s) solved.

Actually, this wasn't a second amendment case at all. Heller vs. D.C. from 2008 was pretty clear about the individual nature of second amendment rights. This one was a 14th. amendment challenge, about the application of a federal district (D.C.) decision to the states and localities. "Equal protection" and "due process" were the key points in this case (McDonald vs. Chicago).

And it's still not over. There is a separate but parallel case (NRA vs. Chicago) that was combined with McDonald at the appeals court level, but is being heard separately by the Supreme Court. Plus, the laws in cities like San Francisco, Chicago, and New York don't just automatically just go away. You still have to challenge them one by one so they can be ruled unconstitutional. That requires money, so in this country you still have to buy justice.

I'm surprised Slavia didn't have any jokes of his own about the sponge end.
