| What kind of shot count do you get? I never knew the tank was 4300 psi |

Completely factory stock (at this point ) I can get 56 shots between 944.07 and 902.54- with an average of 928fps....the regulator in mine seems to be set at ~2250, rather than the seemingly standard ~1900.
Shots #57 through #65 go from 883 to 790psi....they could be useful but it means having t use mil-dot "holdover" with last shot being one full dot holdover.
The regulator IS adjustable and I presume I could get more usable (regulated) shots, but it obviously would mean at a lower fps. Luckily I already had a 4500psi SCBA set-up, so I can actually get a few "FULL" refills..Although, if I go to only 2750psi, I still get 40 shots in the 928psi range, and a LOT more refills for it and my 2 other HPA guns. |

| Only thing I can see that would need immediate attention is the addition of an lcd/shroud....AR6 is .22, AR5 is .20, and AR4 is the .177.. |

What pellet weight?.... If that is 14.3 gr. you are getting 27.3 FPE average....
Makes me all the happier with my HPA converted 850.... I'm getting 68 shots averaging 916 fps with 18.1 gr. pellets (33.7 FPE) and I only have to fill to 3000 psi....

I've also seen some HPA'd 850's with comparable results. It's really a different gun. |

Sniper I just happen to have a Disco too..mine are about the same level...I put a 5 " TKO on the Disco and it's super quiet!! and I have a 12" lcd/shroud on it's way from Rich in Mich. for the Dominator.
Bob..once you read the PM I sent you just a few minutes ago, you'll see that I totally agree ..but, remember I 'd really like to keep the gun stock..I'd be happy if by adjusting the regulator, I could get fps down to 800-850fps..(~20fpe) and hopefully a higher usable shot count.. if the urge hits me to tear something up I have the +34FPE crosman 2250
Once again I have confirmed the validity of that old adage"you never get too old to learn" |

OK, I took the TKO off the disco and shot 5 pellets..then fired Dominator 5 times (disco is .177-Dominator is .22) , so ya have to take that into account...the Dominator wins (loses?) hands down!! It is WAY louder than the Disco, even considering the difference in caliber..Put the TKO back on Disco, and the 12" shroud/LDC from RichfromMich was mailed my way today...should have it Friday.

Got the 12" ldc/shroud from RichinMich today, via USPS....nice looking part Fits on with 2 grubscrews and is a good fit, very pleased with the part..The important thing is that now it's super-duper quiet.....just hear a little "pffft" when you fire the gun...for $65.00 including shipping it's a great deal

I replaced the new-style valve, that the 1250 came with, with an old-style valve..appears to have been a good move..The regulator in the old style is set at 1750psi..Using 14.3gr. pellets , I get 59 shots @ avg. 911.87 fps which is 26.4 fpe....I guess the claim of 100 shoots at 29.5 ft'lbs. is just not true imagine that !!
Anyhow, ,from shot 60 to shot 74(IIRC) are less than 10 percent below the highest fps shot. 1-2 more shots, it goes below setpoint, and fps rapidly drops (RAPIDLY !! )..So I can shoot 9 magazines at 25 yards and not have any noticeable drop in POI..a really steady shooter might see a drop, but it isn't a problem for ol' shakey here I'm a good bit more satisfied with the gun now that I've run some rounds through it....I really was PI$$ED , and way over-reacted when I first got it.. 72 usable shots at 25 yards (on one fill) be making me smile. I just wish I was as accurate as the gun is. |

You could start out at 2000psi if you wanted to...just wouldn't get very many shots 'til pressure was down to 1750, at which point the regulator no longer is in play, and fps goes "south" rapidly.....I've been starting at 3600psi...that gives me 40 shots at avg velocity of 911.87...If I start at 4350-then the first 40 shots average out to 928.fps, followed by 19 shots of ~900fps.....Does not have to be filled to 300 bars to operate efficiently Have had the thing like 2 weeks, and there is a LOT to learn about it .. Not very many folks own Dominators, so getting help /advice is a rather slow process when compared to a website like this.....it's getting better though.....the gun is waaaay more accurate than I'll ever be....makes me look really good when target shooting an SCBA set-up is all but mandatory..luckily I already had one..I can get several re-fills starting at 3600psi and ending at 1800psi . Plus I have some other HPA guns, all in all it works out good! |

OK !!! SO I BLEW IT From here on out if it isn't a carbine I aint' gonna look at it (I HOPE!!!) I got rid of the 1250..it 's a cool gun, plenty of power, german engineering, etc, etc, etc, It was tooooo long and waaaaay toooo heavy for my tired, skinny butt....I traded it even for a brand new in the box AA S410 fac, carbine.. UPS dropped it off today at sunset. It's NOT the side lever version,,has the standard bolt configuration..not a big deal to me..I have several rifles ..they are all std. bolts.......
One of the guns I was considering before buying the 1250, was a BSA Ultra (IIRC) it 's a short, lightweight carbine also..but something about that "manly size" Dominator overrode my commom sense...ANYHOW, the S410 is a lot like that BSA carbine...it's a 10 shot repeater, .22 calber, max fill of 200 bar and is the "FAC" version which means about 24fpe instead of 12 All I can say about it at this point is that all the chequering is beautiful..first air gun I've owned that looks this fancy....it has factory full-barrel shroud, so should be more than quiet enough for me (I like them really quiet) blueing looks "deeper" than on any of my Crosmans.....and it's shorter than either one of my two 2250's . I already got it scoped and learned how to use the magazine, so I'll be up and out early tomorrow morning....
