My groups were all over the place, and I knew I couldn't work on holding the gun properly and battle the trigger at the same time. The pull was quite inconsistent. So I decided to brave installing the GRT-III trigger. I know Charliedatuna's website says it can be installed in 10 minutes, but I'm mechanically inept and very much afraid of making mistakes, so I went very slowly, snapping photos as I went so I'd know what I did. I got the trigger in and headed back to the woods to see how it worked. It was SOOOOOOO much better it was almost like a different gun! Only had one issue and that was the safety not working. After shooting for a while, I came back, read again Charlie's instructions, adjusted the 1st stage screw, and bingo, safety works perfectly. Looks like the blade itself is much more ergonomic than the standard. The more you do,the greater your confidence will be.If the air gun addiction gets a-hold of you...pretty soon you'll be doing full tear downs,then..... the modifications start.... YUP !!! that trigger is a FINE mod...after I finally got the nerve up and did the installation, I could have kicked my own butt for not doing it sooner...felt really dumb, cause it REALLY is so easy to do...and makes such a difference in the gun! _________________ HEY !! Sorry for being dense, but are you saying the NP and the NP XL have different trigger assemblies? I looked real briefly at the Airguns of Arizona website and didn't see anything on triggers for the NP XL. However, I should be studying so I will check back into it on Thurs. or Fri.. This trigger, however, is different than the one mentioned in this thread prior to your first post- which is applicable to other Crosman/Benjamin rifles- Quest/Phantom/G1, etc. _________________ ` I'd say "I care."
