Find a police officer or someone trained in tactical shooting. There's a way to hold a flashlight and support the gun at the same time. Once you get used to it, it's second nature and the flashlight is always aligned with the barrel.

It's difficult to explain, but basically you hold the flashlight in your left hand, with the bulb facing the little finger and the thumb facing your body, palm is facing downward. The wrist is cocked slightly upward and the hand holding the gun grip is nestled into the valley created in your left wrist. On SureFire type flashlights with the switch on the end of the light, you can control the switch with your thumb allowing momentary use of the light.

There are probably youtube videos of it, if you're interested.

I read that blowback eats a lot more co2. Is this true? Also, does the blowback cock the hammer? I assume not, but i don't understand why they make them like that if theres no functional reason, so i had to ask.

The blowback feature is simply for realism though it does cycle the slide and cock the hammer on the PX4. I have a laser mounted on the underside and use a thumb activated flashlight in my left hand as I am in the dark in a building usually Smile It is not easy on the CO2, it gobbles it, but its pure fun lol

or you could try one of these, baby desert eagle, works though usually takes a finishing shot to do it.

Can anyone tell me what the loudness of the 2240 is like compared to my C11 BB?m i gotta figure it takes way more power to push a 22 thru rifling than a BB thru a smooth bore which i imagine would make it quite a bit louder. Am i right?

Hey there. The 2240 is in fact quite loud .I think the valve is bigger in the 2240,over the C11" though I'm not sure of that".....more gas release...bigger bang. However I don't think you can get a better rat pistol for the money.I've only shot one rat with mine, but it was one shot, one kill from about 15 yards or so.In my opinion the C11 doesn't have the power to be used for pests, unless you are right up on them.350 feet per second or so with a bb isn't going to work that well.True you probably could kill a rat with it,but I don't think it would be all that humane.

Thanks, i was afraid of that. But at least it narrows down my choices, and now i won't have to keep searching for laser mount possibilities for it.

You can also mod a 2240 for your specific applications over time. I have a couple, but my target/rat pistol is a 2240 with .177 barrel and steel breech, rva and lighter hammer spring which gives me quiet powerful shooting or quiet economical target shooting.

What he said The possibilities with the 2240 platform are limited only by ones imagination. Wink

Is that a silencer on it? If so, can you put one on a 2240 w/o getting the longer barrel?
As to the nightstalker, i'm looking for a pistol, but thanks.

Deadrats, silencers are illegal in the US. The way the law reads is, if you can put it on a firearm and it lowers the report at all, it's a silencer. Any silencer can be detached and put on a firearm(think weldng hard soldering or even drilling out and tapping) I don't know how gamo and crosman are getting away with it.(whisper and maurauder) But sooner or later there will be a legal case and then a precedent is set. Once that precedent is set( it will probably go the government's way) then it will be a benchmark, and everybody will be held to that benchmark. That is one of the main reasons I don't own a marauder or a whisper. I'm playing it safe.

Nope, not a silencer, simply a muzzle break with sight pin that works well with the LPA MIM rear sights I have on it. It also protects the crown on the barrel from getting smooshed Smile

cheers

It's whether it's louder than what i have now that matters. It may not be what you or even the general consensus feel is loud, but if it's louder than my C11 I would be forced to use it as a $60 paper weight.
