I have the same scope elevation settings for 10y or 50y. I think it has to do with the parabolic flight trajectory. At 10y you're hitting the target with the first point of impact of the curve, at 20+y you're hitting with the second or last point of impact. |

I get a similar 25/50 yard zero with my Super Streak. It is actually nice for practice, can do short and long range without changing your scope any.
At 10 yards it's still pretty close on zero. Figure the pellet is starting to drop off a bit more by 25 yards. |

That is a very classy rifle.
I don't think I'd fool with a shim on the butt end.
I think maybe the scope mounts are way too high.
Perhaps lower the scope before you go cobbling up the wood.
Wish I had that rifle. It's got clean lines and a real classy look. |
