THIS IS A FORTNIGHTLY TARGET, SHOOT ANY TIME IN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS
EVERYONE WELLCOME
Target to download and print: Fortnight 110; Apr 19 > May 2 /2010
1)Print to full-size on an A4 or 8.5"x11" sheet of paper.
2) Shooting distance is 5m/16.4ft for pistols.
3) Shooting distance is 10m/32.8ft for rifles.
3a) The rules for shooting 5m or 10 m are that the distance from the target to the firing line should be 10m for rifle and 5m for pistol.
All shots, from whatever shooting position must be made with the competitor wholly behind the firing line but able to touch it.
Basically the shooter should be behind the line but the part of the gun not being held by the shooter can protrude past the line.
4) All targets to be shot standing
5) Any sighting device may be used.
6) NO rests or steadying aids are allowed.
7) 16 shots total, 2 at each Target, Up to 5 sighting/practice shots not on the clock using the Green
8) 15 minutes total time (take whatever amount of time for each shot you like, but at 15 minutes-stop!).
9) Scoring 10 for bull then 5, 2 1. Only two hits per target counts. Maximum point count is 160
10) Entries need to be scanned or photographed and posted. Please list gun, pellet, sighting device and total time expended.
11) You can enter using both a pistol and a rifle as separate entries, only one entry for each, but all rules must be followed.
12) Score your own target. Winner and Runner-Up will be verified by board officials.
13) An honourable contest for sport- to lie or cheat, is the only real loser. Please keep it above-board!
14) Each competition runs for 2 weeks. Your entry must be posted in the forum no later than 23:00 GMT on the last Sunday.
15) These rules are for this week's shooting competition and may change for others
Please make sure that the blue border is visible on your entry, plus the green dot is 12mm diameter on A4 paper.

Had a hot date with the rifle tonight!!!!
Sorry about the smuggie target. I oil my duct seal traps to keep the putty soft on the surface. Paper sticks nicely that way... but if you don't give the oil enough time to soak in or evaporate, well you get what you see below.
I'll shoot a pistol version if I get the rest of my matches done.
Rifle Shoot:
gun: Talon 6-24x50 Centerpoint (Shorty)
Pellet: RWS Supermag .177
Dist/Pos: 10m / Standing / OffHand
Score 127/160 ((Bottom left is a -13 not a -7. 5+2 is 7 but me logic should n=have been -5 + -8= -13 with the way I add.... or subtract as the case may be))

Going to try to shoot these more often... always have a good time
Well, bullseyes... I can shoot those.
Print out the target, bake in the oven, and post it.
Think I did okay... would be nice if the black were a little bigger to accommodate us iron sight shooters!!
You know how small that looks with the unaided eye?
lol one day, will have to figure out how to put a scope on this thing.

Don't let oatring put you off. He shoots 100% using iron sights and now he's thinking of fitting a scope? I suppose with that he can shoot the next target before I post it.

Nice sunny day so I got the Winchester out for a bit of target practice, one thing you shouldn’t do is set up for one pellet the shoot another, which is what I did and it took a few shots to sort it out.

you shoot perfect targets by "holding the gun, jerking the trigger, and praying" ??? |
