Hi there,

I have read in several forums that 'some' shooters lubricate the pelets....

Is this a good idea?

What type of lubrication should be used?
Cooking Oil, Mineral Oil, WD40, GT5?

Any help much appreciated.

Personally I would'nt lube any airgun pellets, provided you are using quality pellets the barrel will "lead in" after a few hundred shots and thats it. Just give it a pull through every now and again.

Some people do use a lube but usually for target shooting etc, but you have to keep the same level of lube on all pellets otherwise the fps will vary shot to shot.

BTW Welcome to AirGunHome.

Al
