my wife heres a ticking in the kitchen, she gets up go's
in the kitchen and the noise go's away.

sit's back down noise comes back. i find a small field mouse
hanging out under the toaster. Shocked Twisted Evil

i make barriers with a cutting board and retrieve-no not the mrod-
Rolling Eyes my crosman 760. 3 pumps with a 8.4 grain jsb is about
250 fps-ish. i put the barrel right up to it's neck and shoot.

zipped right through him and put a dent in the wall. Shocked

it left one large drop of blood on the counter.

for the amount of mouse turds under the toaster
we're gonna buy another one. Rolling Eyes he's been living there. Eek

My father-in-law once gave us a stuffed chair that had been sitting out in the machine shed. Sure enough, just like you described - scratching noises by night. I crept up on him one night, and there he was - in the corner right by the toaster. This is where the parallel ends, because I didn't go for the pellet gun. I used the toaster.

"She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed" got a new one the very next day. (The toaster, not the mouse.)
