| how much do i have to spend? What I want is a quality rifle pump or sidelever so i can shoot in winter, highly accurate, shoots a .177 about 900 fps with 14 grain pellets, will last a lifetime, and did i mention highly accurate? |

I'm not aware of a Springer that will produce 26 FPE.... I would think you would be limited to a PCP....

| What's your forum name? |
well, when i first started looking at the airgun hobby i was thinking of ordering the rws350 and thats when i joined the forum so thats where the name came from. im just not sure if i should get the 350, the rws 52, or 54? or save my money and get a Air Arms TX200 HC ? or is there a cheaper alternative with the same accurate performance ? btw,, i meant .177 and a realistic speed of at least 900 |

For what you seem to want... you need a .22
The 54 would be nice, and it shoots about 22fpe? "recoilless" can be shot from bench. Will kill scopes like a madman.
The 460 has good reviews, under lever, bit more power than a 350 IIRC. Easier on scopes.
The TX is a 12fpe rifle. Not what you're looking for in power, but will definitely put the lead on the critters. Very accurate, and no scope breaking. |

| i like the 54, but due to its its un-traditional design i wonder how long it will hold up? it does seem to have much more wear parts then the average rifle. i like .177 more then .22 because it will be better for long distance shots. |

Sorry, I didn't see the .177.... ....When I saw 900 fps and a 14 gr. pellet I automatically thought .22 because of the pellet weight.... It would be even MORE difficult to reach 26 FPE in .177....
Now if you are looking at 900 fps with, say, a 10.3 grain pellet then that is obtainable.... Your namesake RWS 350 would be hard to beat for that kind of performance....
The problem with any Springer in that power catagory is the weight.... By the time you add a scope, you will be packing around over 10 lbs.... and that gets to be a drag if you're walking around for a day.... IMO....
I still prefer a .22 cal for hunting though....

Bob, some of us are still young and 11lbs isn't much.
At least we don't have to carry a 100lb ruck around... God bless those men. And the critters don't return fire...
The weight does help to tame the rifle a bit. |

if you're new to airgunning, buy a cheap clone
of anything and learn from it.
buyers' remorse sucks.
i'd buy a B-28 before 350.
i have one mag-springer.
they are a chore to shoot all day.
nothing beats a pcp. |

How is a compound restricting?
And why the hell is there a porno ad at the top of the AGH page? Seriously Sniper and Joe, keep your fat chick porn off AGH... (I'm serious, there is a BBWromance ad up there) |
