| I just read on a manufacturers website not to let the gun stay energized for longer than 5 minutes. How would you hunt with it? Seems kind of hard to sneak up on an animal and then spook it while cocking and loading the pellet,no? |

True. Spring powered rifles ARE very noizy so sneaking around with one that's not ready can be a pain in the a$$.
However, springs aren't that expensive so I'm guessing that when you ARE gonna take it on a hunt, it wouldn't be to much of a problem.
If I go out hunting, I'd bring a PCP anyway. |

Webley Power-loc springs can be left compressed for up to a week with very little degradation, and this is soon recovered.
One of the UK airgun mags did an article on leaving spring powered rifles with there springs compressed, the idea was for the propose of hunting and not having to cock the gun before each shot.
Webley Power=Loc springs came out top, but all the quality air rifles such as BSA, AA, Weihrauch, Diana etc came out well. So Hunting with a decent Springer shouldn’t be a problem
