| I had an interesting observation this morning when adjusting trigger over travel on my 2300KT.Before adjusting the over travel to the point of trigger movement stopping just after the sear catch releases the hammer,there was quite a bit of hammer bounce.I had even considered installing an HDD in order to save some Co2...however since the adjustment there is zero hammer bounce...just a crisp "snap" as the hammer strikes the valve stem.I take it this is a good thing,but I'm not quite grasping how adjusting the trigger to zero over travel has this effect on hammer bounce.The only thing I can think of is the sear catching on the hammer as it tries to rebound thus stopping spring oscillation??? |

It's possible it's catching on the "half cock" position on the hammer.... If you pull the bolt back just a small amount you will notice the sear clicks into the notch on the hammer.... The hammer doesn't touch the valve stem in this position but it isn't cocked anywhere near enough to fire....
Why your adjustment should cause this I have no idea....

Hey there Bob,
Thanks for the input...The gun is cocking fully,and sounds like it is striking the valve stem full force as well...when I have a moment I will load up a cart,and see what happens...  |

| Looks like what was happening is that the sear wasn't retracting all the way,thus running down the length of the piston slowing it down.I found this out when I installed the 22xx lower half on a disco today.Very small pop when first fired.Backed out the trigger over travel screw,and got the bang I was looking for. |
