hello all,
Need a bit of advice. I've decided to try an open site on my custom 22400/2300 pistol. I ordered it from Crosman with the longer breech so I could mount a Red dot on it, but now I want a change. Can anyone recommend where I might find an appropriate iron sight for this pistol that can be mounted on the dovetail of the breech? I hope I'm expressing this correctly. I'm open to (related) suggestions.
thanks!

The best value for the money are Mendoza open rear sights (PyramydAir has them, as an example). They fit on the dovetail, but you may need to customize your front sight for everything to line up properly- i.e. install a pin or somehow raise the point on the stock front sight.

thanks Eric,
I'd seen the Mendoza sights @ Pyramid already. I thought there might be others, so I came here to ask. Wink I'll take another look at them.

Mendoza guns aren't real great, but the sights are nice. I believe they come in both notch and aperture styles.

Hey Slavia I never heard of Mendoza guns before. Guess a search is in order. Maybe there's a website. Thanks!

I have an LPA MIM on mine, with a front barrel shroud with sight pin, find it very nice.

cheers
Jeff

Will a Mendoza peep fit a Diana rail? Or the curved one on a Super Streak?

I would reccomend the LPA MIM for your pistol.

thanks for the opinion, fritz. I have the same front sight as Jeff, and I've read that the Mendoza sights sit a bit too high for it. Thanks all for the feedback. Can't learn too much.
