Introducing the "PowerMax-HiPAC"; high pressure air cylinder. Capable of holding over 3000psi pressure. Just screw it in and fill it up. Leave it in and use it
with a HPA or CO2 tank.
If your tank goes empty and all you have is leftover 12g CO2 don't worry. Just remove it and insert your 12g powerlett.
No modifications are required.

The "PowerMax-HiPAC" can be used with a Pump, CO2 or HPA tank.
Tester reported stock 2240: >450fps @ >20shots in 40deg. temps

My personal gun gets 12 - 15 shots @ 3000psi; valve drilled and honed; 1.75 to 1 (ftlb/in*) custom striker spring/valve spring

10 Shot string on chrony with hi 810.0; lo 679.8

How is this screw-on tank feeding HPA to the valve? Is there a tube between the canister to the valve within the stock tube, or is the tank screwed on the end and pressurizing the entire stock tube?

A couple of things....

1. This is a commercial advertisement and has no place in this forum.... If you want to put it in the For Sale section, PM AirGunEric for permission....

2. If you apply even a 10% variation in velocity (acceptable in a pistol)between maximum and minimum velocities, you only have 6 shots between 729 and 810 fps....

Nice job on the concept, though.... I would suggest a slightly lighter hammer spring to extend the shot string at the expense of a few fps at the top end.... Wink

I'm also very interested in the answer to Eric's question.... is the adapter self contained and only pressurizes the valve (ie mates against it like a CO2 powerlet).... or does it pressurize the Main tube?....

Bob

The springs are custom sets and give several pressure (ftlb/in*) ratios to accomodate stock 2240's above 1600psi amd mods to 3500psi. I don't plink with this one. Dis ones for hunt'n.

After re-reading my post I understand how that could be said to be true. To whom do I apologize?

What is acceptable? What I get is specific to my gun and specifically I get 10 shot 749.1 fps avg w/ 17.1g pells in 58deg temps, specifically I get 5 shots >750 fps. This ain't no plinking toy, that's what Co2 is for.
Dis here gun is fer hunt'n

If whatever you are hunting is tolerant of over a 1/2" of POI shift at 30 yards due to the 16% variation in velocity in your shot string, then I'm sure it will be up to the job.... My point was that typically the useful shot strings (for hunting or serious target work) in a PCP rifle are only those shots within a 5% range (maximum to minimum) and in a pistol (because of the shorter ranges involved) 10% tolerance (ie 810 fps down to 729).... A wider tolerance is acceptable for plinking, of course because you don't have much chance of wounding a tin can.... Mr. Green

My comments on the hammer spring are simply based on the shape of your shot curve.... the highest velocity is on the second shot.... If you reduced the hammer spring tension slightly (or filled to a higher pressure) you would have a more "normal" bell curve and extend the useful shot string.... just an observation.... Rolling Eyes

I like the idea of being able to change out the HPA tank for a CO2 powerlet.... and I'm glad to see that only the valve is pressurized, not the main tube.... Wink

My hunting is limited to tree rats and an occasional opposum in my backyard out to 65ft.

The amount of air used is due to the overly drilled out and honed valve I used for this chrony test. I want the standard 2240 tube fps single shot record. Don't know what it is but I ain't stopping til 1000fps

The first shot being a higher fps than the second is due mostly to me not backing off the adjuster throughout the string. The valve has a 1" spring w/ 6% of its ftlb/in* in contact so it opens real easy. My custom #3 striker spring is about 42 ftlb/in* after I crank it in .3125". It gets harder to cock but it's worth its one shot kill.

I have a plinker pistol with a plinker valve that I use to plinker with plinker power when I feel like plinkering.

Hello:

I see it does maintain pressure all within itself and the valve- or at least it appears to; does the end of your tube press firmly up against the valve seal so there is no leakage into the stock tube?

And, has the valve been retained by anything other than the single screw that is there from the factory?

Generally, commercial posts are not allowed here unless some sort of special arrangement is made.

In this case, however, I think it might be useful to see what you've done overall- after that we will decide what goes where.

The "PowerMax" fixs directly into the tube and seals just like the co2. Test have shown that up to 1600psi the seal holds. I custom cut the seals that comes with each cylinder. They have a higher compression strength and lower elasticity.

In the stock gun the valve is retained by the factory screw. In my gon I used a thicker shafted screw but still the same way of attachment

Not quite sure I understand that, because your setup is no different in practical terms to feeding the valve directly from a 3000 psi SCUBA cylinder using pipe fittings.... but 1000 fps is certainly achievable from as little as 1600 psi.... at least it is with a 24" barrel.... I'm guessing you might be able to achieve that with a 14" barrel with enough pressure and a strong enough hammer spring.... You might end up with a pretty high trigger pull, though....

If you haven't added any extra screws to secure the valve, you might like to think about it.... You could easily be running 3-4 times the shear load on the 6-40 screw that secures the valve than you get with CO2.... and that's assuming the tube is not pressurized.... If you get a leak and pressurize the tube to 3000 psi, the end force on the valve could momentarily reach 1325 lbs. before it leaks out around the valve body.... Shocked

Bob

It sure looks like this is the same "DUD" not "DUDE" that was on the CAPOF board, ..some sorta wacked out weirdo trying to sell his wares..Brutuz finally had to block him from our board> He's making these wild claims about some sorta gadget he supposedly came up with.....just a "troll" or a ______________ (fill in the blank).

He used to be known as "seldomBlue" when he was over on the CrosmanAirPistolOwnersForum......strange that someone can "get their kicks" by doing dumb S*#T like he is...I just don't get it Question Question Question
