Hey Guys,
Does anyone know the BC for the Eunjin .177 16.1 gr pellet? I've tried to calculate it in the basement but the results didn't come out right, must be to short of distance. There must be a minumum distance to achieve the proper value? Thanks. Steve

ps. my results were .065 (904 fps @ 1yd and 892 @ 7yds), which obviously isn't right

Hi Bob, Yeah, I've read that BC's for pellets (although a controversial subject) are between .010 and .030 'ish. So I know this figure is definately not right (must be the shooting distance). Curious though, how did you come up with .056? The BC calculator on the STP V2.0 software that I'm using had it at .060 and the Chrony Ballistic software had it at .070. Thanks. Steve

I used Chairgun3.... The problem is, that even a difference of 2-3 fps will make a big change at close ranges....

I have measured BCs in the 0.045 to 0.049 range for heavy pellets in .22 cal.... so it's not altogether impossible.... the best way is to average 5 shots at both distances.... If you have 4 tight velocities and a flyer, maybe throw out the flyer too....

Hey Bob,
Thanks. Hopefully, the weather will be nice enough tomorrow and I'll get back out to measure at a good 25 yds. Cheers. Steve
