i was thinking of taking the cap for the co2 tube and drilling and tapping it for a hose like on paintball guns so i can use a bigger co2 tank. now do co2 tanks for paintball guns have more co2 pressure?

Co2 pressure is only affected by temperature, "volume" of its holding container has nothing to do with its pressure. The larger the reservoir, the longer it will take to empty and power to drop off as it is nears completely empty, but that's it.

Do a search for "bulk fill" and you will get some ideas.

i thought mabey they could be filled to a higher pressure than a regular 12oz cartridge. i know volume doesnt affect the pressure.

As long a you use CO2 you won't be able to put out higher pressures.

Unless you wanna go HPA, but then you're in Regulator Country.

CO2 cartridges contain liquid CO2 and the pressure you get to fire your gun comes from the rapid expansion when some of the liquid is released in to a lower pressure area taking into account the temperature because the higher the temp the quicker the CO2 will expand. Since CO2 becomes liquid trying to increase the pressure in a cylinder would you to compress a liquid which is not easy to do.

Ok thanks. So other than more shots that can be fired. There is no benefit for a bigger cylinder.

More shots, and more consistency in pressure (every else staying the same) as the reservoir from which the Co2 is flowing is larger. I.e. a 12g caplet might start to get lower in output after 30 shots on gun 'X', before becoming useless at 40 shots, but a 9oz tank (roughly 22 times the volume of a 12g caplet) you could likely get 700+ consistent shots, the last 20-30 being reduced.
