Ebenezer Scrooge to the last of the spirits: "Are these the shadows of the things that Will be, or are they shadows of the things that May be, only?"
Please tell me it will go away.
(Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol," page 149.) |

I had another more faded one, but now I can't find it. A guy at work said it "made me stick out like a turd in a punchbowl," so I call this one turd II.

I'm a bit out of training in that regard - I can fall asleep after half a beer. Scratch that - I can fall asleep after reading the label. |

Sniper you Cal. dudes are such sissies!! I have built houses when it was so cold the lettuce would be frozen on your sandwich in the car in a thermal lunchbag by lunch. It was 10 this morning on the way to work, I really do like working inside now |

| I used to work in heating and air. You want to talk extremes? Try working on a 50 ton self contained when the wind chill is next to 0 and you are on a mall roof. Now that's cold!! That was the only thing I didn't like about the job. You are either freezing your a$$ off or sweating like a pig. It did pay very well though. |

LMAO im guessing none of you guys are from canada, i like southeastern ontario cause it doesnt get as hot or as cold as it does where i was born (northern ontario) hell it usually only goes from + 30 celsius to - 30 celsius in this area and its not like that all the time, but then again i have seen 40 below here a few times and this is all WITHOUT a windchill factor involved. im amazed my wife hasnt left me and gone back to BC where it isnt so extreme.
"sigh" i miss my igloo
lol the artillary hold for a pellet gun is easy when you cant feel your hands, the hard part is putting pellets in the gun |

Snow blowers have always intrigued me probably because we don’t have them in the UK, I would love one!
I think I now know why they are so popular in North America, you get some guy like Slavia who knocks one up from a few bit he finds in his cellar, he then goes out and blows all his snow into the next guys drive, it starts a chain reaction the next guy blows it into the next and so on.
In a few years it will have gone full circle and Slavia will get it all back. So if you guys don’t want to spend each weekend blowing snow in your beanie hats then get Slavia to send me his blower and break the chain.

The real battle between good and evil is not with the neighbors, but rather with the city snowplow crews. This morning I came home after a 12-hour shift and spent another 2 hours digging out. As I'm standing there, the plow comes along and wings the street snow over the curb, over the grass, and right onto the sidewalk. So I have to go back and re-do the sidewalk, only now instead of light and fluffy the snow is dense and packed, and I've got to get it out before it freezes solid. The driver was grinning as he went by.
I've often thought it would be fun to video all the neighbors as they blow snow in unison - maybe set it to Swan Lake. |
