After surfing and looking and asking lots of questions, I had decided to give myself a Crosman NPSS for Christmas...which I thought was REALLY nice of me
At last moment, instead of doing what a "mature" man of my age (61) would do I went a different route. Yes, I am single , therefore no "clearance" was required for me to repeatedly hit the BUY IT NOW button. As a result of this , today I ordered me a Crosman 2240 pistol (.22 cal.), an Alpha shooting chrony with a printer, AND an MA2259XT with every brass accessory that Roy has to offer on his website....man I am pumped (and broke), but mainly pumped...the fellow that owns Mountain Air is really nice to deal with and very helpful-answered all my questions. Of course I won't get the rifle until after first of new year...BUT I will get it!! I had already ordered a TF6 from Compasseco 3 days ago...should have it tomorrow I would buy some more but I AM BROKE (but real happy). America has been berry berry good to me !!![/b] |

Self control ??? Excuse me, but I'm not familiar with that term=what exactly is it
Thing is..$1,400.00 that I had given up all hope of ever recovering, just magically appeared in my mailbox yesterday..and with my mature ,(over 60 ) line of reasoning I just figured WHAT THE HEY !!! I'll use half of it and by some toys that I've been wanting since I found this site!!! Man I'm telling ya, I am HOOKED on this air gun thing, I have shot at least 100 rounds every day since I bought the Crosman StormXT. I'm retired, not married, so can pretty much do as I please (within legal boundaries).
So, the Tech Force 6 will be here tomorrow , alomg with a new pring for that $20 S-2 pistol I bought, and just got e-mail that the Crosman 2240 will be here next Tuesday, according to UPS....Chrony and printer --hopefully before Christmas and like I said earlier, the 2250 XT won't be here until after the first of next year..Bottom line here is that I'mm gonna be doing exactly what I want to do for at least the next month...EVERY DAY !! Hard to beat a deal like that , huh ?
Yeah , I got lots of pellets coming (all I can get locally are from WallyWorld ) AND I also ordered a metal pellet trap for using inside my house from the dining room to bath in my bedroom is plenty long enough for a 10 meter set-up, so I can at least use the Crosman 2240 indoors-yeah baby!! (another benefit of not having a wife) and maybe even the S-2 if the sping I ordered will work in it!! So col, rainy, inclimate weather won't hold me up.....man I'm loving it !!!!! |

hey packrat how are ya....wait why am i asking that? i know how you are EXCITED!!!!
dude thats awsome, kinda like being a kid again isnt it
i think you just made alot of people wish they were in your shoes
kinda wishing i could get that stuff myself... but i have to wait a while before i can expand my collection, not cause im married (my wife is awsome) but because im working on our house right now doing renovations= expenses without income, so for now im tweaking what i do have.
just wondering what do you use for a backstop for your in-house shooting? (i see you are getting a pellet trap, but what about before that)
please keep us posted on the npss as i think a few people here are interested in those, and i would love to see some pics and crony numbers on the new toys.
congrats on the new toys, hope you have lots of fun with em...
one last question were you able to get crosman or the shipping company to wrap them up for you
have a good one

Well, you musta mis-read part of my post...I did NOT order the NPSS...ordered the highly modified Crosman 2250XT from Mountain Air...
HOWEVER as of about 15 minutes ago I went to Pyramyp Air's site and I DID order a NPSS...22 caliber with the fake carbon fiberand while I was at it..I paid $61.50 for shipping yeah, I know--but I will ahve the gun in my hands Tuesday no later than noon..which is the same day that my Crosman 2240 pistol will get here oh happy day !!! SO HOW IS THAT FOR SELF CONTROL ??

| Congratulations packrat, I'm new here and it's good to see I am not the only over 60 retired kid on the block. BTW I just got my Crosman 3576 as a Christmas present to myself and got a Crosman 1088 for my wife with pellets and pellet trap. So looks like we're having similar Christmas presents. anyway again congratulations and Merry Christmas. |

Well--a fellow Texan- I was born and raised in a little town just south of Fort Worth !! All my relatives are in Texas...and congratulations on your Christmas presents to you as well. Yep it's nice to be a kid again, cause this time around I've been able to afford most of the toys I wanted when I was 17-21..Corvettes, hot bikes, hot red heads , pellet guns etc, etc, etc !!! I MAY have gone a little over board, but what the "L" ?? All I ordered was a Tech Force 6 (.177), a Crosman 2240 (.22), along with the mount adapter, an MA2250XT (.22), and the Crosman NPSS (.22).along with a pellet trap, $100.00 worth of pellets, UTG dragonclaw bi-pod, some 12 g.cartidges and some 88g. cartridges. That stuff, along with an Alpha Shooting Chrony and printer equals up to a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS for me. Damn, I'm as excited as I was the night I got Brenda Gillespie in the back seat of my '56 Ford out behind Northside HIgh School back in Fort Worth !!!
I wish all you folks a very Merry Christmas....all these toys aside, I have not forgotten what this season means (at least to me), and I celebrate the birth of He that has made my life the miracle that it is . Amen. -Rodger |

| I am looking into setting up a trap in the bedroom so we can shoot from the office down the hall into the bedroom and I suspect the wife will be fine with this as long as she gets to shoot also. |
