I have seen this talked about on other forums.
It made me think, and when I ordered my first high quality air rifle (Maraudy)
I decided to do the same.

How many of you have cheap air guns, just in the off chance you shoot in your backyard and some neighbour calls the cops.
I have heard this happen to people in some states and the cops take their guns.
So just in case I bought a Crosman 760 Pumpmaster Air Carbine .

Its was actually only $24 on sale.(It says $26 on the wedsite ,but was on sale for $24 at the store)
I If you need a throw away, get to Wallyworld.

What funny is its actually not a bad shooter ,better then the old Dasiy pump I has back in the day.

be careful about believing there would be just the "throw away" being confiscated in a case of a neighbor complaining about discharging of an air/fire/archery arm.

check with local ordinances, state and county laws...they might just confiscate ALL airguns, fiearms and archery bows under certain circumstances. it would, of course, require a court order, but it's normally not hard for LE to get them...Rolling Eyes

i'm certainly not advocating, nor condoning the use of "muffled" air guns, either... Shocked Cool

Yeah it was way more relaxed in those days...I miss em.We used to shoot .22LR's all day in the field next to my Mom's place, and it was no big deal....try it now,and you can be fairly sure you'll get a visit from S.W.A.T. Now it seems if someone even sees anything that looks like a gun, everybody freaks. What the hell happened to the good ole days?Because of this I either shoot air guns in my indoor set up,or when shooting in a backyard I do it from an open window in the house. The gun stays in the house when I go retrieve any targets. All it takes is a call..."Man with a gun",and it can be ugly until it is straightened out,so I don't even risk the "What if's".That's why I just love a Marauder...Pffft...Did you hear that?....What? I didn't hear anything, wasn't there, don't know what anyone's talking about..... Shrug Twisted Evil

Too bad in the US we can't easily use them. It's more trouble to get one than it is to just hear the soft thud of your airgun.
