was just searching about the .32 caliber rifles and man...they are scary Shocked
that's more like a real gun isn't it!!

I just wanted a rifle that shoots far so I guess the Marauder is the best choice for me.

fritz, I don't really have a specific reason for it but I just wanted to know what types of rifles shoot farthest.
since I'm getting a sniper rifle I want a gun that can shoot far right! (because it has a scope Smile ) to me having MORE is always better then LESS

so in terms of caliber size is the .22 caliber the best choice for distance/target shooting ?

also when you mean higher power, would a 1000fps pcp rifle be considered a high end?

A lot more FPS is possable from a .177 PCP...
My Career Infinity will toss a 14.5grain .22
pellet at 1220fps....And The AR6 I had would send
a light pellet super sonic...The noise had to be heard
to be beleaved...

The word sniper has lost its meaning. Now it means any jackass with a gun that has a scope on it. Sniper actually refers to a person who is a skilled shooter, but more so one who is stealthy, so as to be able to hunt snipe (a bird). Off topic- I would love to try snipe hunting. Anyone who could successfully "snipe" would be called a "sniper". The mounting of optical sighting devices or choice of weaponry does not necessarily determine whether or not one is infact a sniper.

Yes, some bigbore airguns do produce energies similar to high-power (not super powered) pistol cartridges. One must recognize that this is from incredibly massive "pellets". The energy is from a relatively low velocity, giving these a rainbow trajectory, a major limitation in effective range. EX: the maximum range of a 7.62x39 cartridge is about 2 kilometers (2187yds), and maximum effective range being under 275 meters (300yds). <-- That goes back to how far the bullet can go, and how far you can actually use it.

As far as choosing a medium power pcp, the Marauder is a good choice. You might want to look at the Condor, or the Sumatra 2500. Definitely go with .22 caliber.

When I'm thinking long range with Airguns, these 'll probably do better then the Marauder. It's a bit more expensive too though:

Or:

Would love to compare them though. After all, more money doesn't always mean they're actually worth the extra.

Never said there was a problem with 7.62x51. Hell, I like anything that starts with the numbers 7.62. 5.56 can rot in the gun cabinet.

I would like to see what a Daystate .223 in 80fpe can do. Especially if it could shoot burner bullets.
