Soo, I've been talkinga bout this darned 2300 for months now. Well, one way or another I want to get it done. NOW. I'd just like to review the bits and pieces I'm going to be using to make sure I'm getting every bit of performance I can out of it.

From Airguns of Arizona. I bought a Hammer Debounce Device. Nobody's ever talked one around here, but it wasn't that expensive at $20, so I bought that months ago.

I was about to send out an order to Mountain Air, but I'm glad I didn't after reading Bob's review of 22xx valves in the main forum. I had planned on getting a delrin valve stem, along with an extended bolt and muzzle shroud. From what I've now learned about the valves, I'm gonna skip the valve stem from them.

From Crosman, I need to still order a couple discovery trigger springs. Altought I'd still like to hear what bob has to say if there's any performance advantage of using even heavier springs that he's order from elsewhere. Also, once I figure out what type of roll stamp is or isn't on the tube of the 2300, I may also order a discovery valve as well.

From Joe over at muzzle mack, I'm gonna start off with his screw and shim kit for the internals. To this I'll also be adding a bulk air kit and rear paintball tank adapter. To top it all off I'm also going to add one of joe's highrise scope mounts as well.

From Walmart...couple paint ball tanks.

At this time I have yet to decide which scope I'm going to mount on it. My main reason for building this project was for hunting small game like rabbits, squirrels and pigeons. So I am debating between either a Center Point Adventure Class 2-7x32mm a Center Point Power Class 3-12x44mm compact scope.

To power the 2300, I must mention that my next project is going to be a Discovery. I'm just going to ahead and order one with the pump so I can operate both ag's.

Sooo, have I left anything out? Any other suggestions or comments. Another thing I'm not so sure I'm going to do is wheither or not I'm going to give it a camo paint job or not.

for the scope, i'd go with the smaller one since it's not a bigger gun assuming it's lighter than the 3-12.

For a 2300 I would want a 3-9 or maybe a 2-7. Definitely a smaller scope.

Maybe a power adjuster and a 'roller trigger' Cool

No way to add in a power adjuster with the way Joe over at muzzle mack's bulk kit attaches to the back of the pistol. Next project will have a power adjuster though.

For a smaller scope, that's why I like the second one, it's a "compact" rifle scope.

Bit above my ablities at this time. Gimme some time over the next year, mebbe I'll come up with something. Gonna take some time to pull myself out of debt and the build up a good workshop.

what are you using it for? hunting at 20-30yards? right?

set it up for your needs are not your wants.

that's also the philosophy of the burner.... Wink
