Yes, they do recommend taking out the CO2 cylinders but I never did this as it is impractical since it wastes cylinders or u have to use them all up in 1 session and it releases the CO2 which is not very safe.
They also recommend other silly things like wearing goggles but the pellets lose too much energy on ricochet to be a problem in low vel guns as they just bounce off any surface harmlessly and don't reach u if ur at a normal shooting distance. They also put in these useless and annoying trigger locks which r very difficult to take out. |

actually i should clarify my earlier post...
it is recommend by AF that AF rifles leave thier's charged with at least 1000 lbs psi.
it's prudent that each manufacturer be contacted as to what they recommend for their respective AG.
some may, some may not, recommend discharging stored supply of propellant.
in my CO2...i leave them charged...i can't run to the local paintball every week to recharge...or to the local big five to purchase new cartridges...
so far...no problems...maybe a few years down the road, but i know how to replace the seals in the QB78 and 2240...the seal kits are far cheaper than the gasoline it takes to go get the CO2...(it's a 50 mile trip to recharge or get CO2 cartridges for me... ) |
