I found a guy by my house selling a 3-9 zoom by 40mm BSA scope

He only wants $30 for it,says its brand new .
has red, green, and blue light up reticle built in.
1/4" per click at 100 yards
easily adjust clicks without a screwdriver
scope rings included [30mm]

Any good??

BSA scopes are very good quality and will give years of service, but I haven't seen a BSA 3-9x42 only x40 in the airgun range, so I would check that it is for use on an airgun.
But after saying that the range in the USA may be diffrent?

Al

I've had a 4X32AO BSA airgun scope on my Slavia for the last five years, and I'm very satisfied.

From the photo and your description I would take a guess that it is a powder burner scope. That means it won't stand up to a springer's bidirectional recoil, and it's probably parallax compensated for 50 or 100 yards.

Still, for $30 I would be tempted to buy it just to have for future use/sale/trade.

Well I just picked it up.
I brought my lazer bore sighter, mounted the scope on my Quest.
Then looked where the dot was.

Then I took a few shots and shook the rifle hard to see of the croshairs where floting/broken.
Put the lazerlite in the bore again and it was still at zero!!

I ended up getting it for $25 since he didn`t have the box or cover.

The scope is the This Huntsman Series HM39X40RGBD

It might not stand up to a springer like the Quest, but for $25.00 you can't go wrong.

I hope I am, too. $25.00 is a small enough investment to try it and see.

So here's looking forward to the day when you post that you've put X,000 rounds through it and it's still going strong.

Wow I just went and did some plinking in the Desert and WOW!!
This scope ROCKS
I have never been so surgical precise with my shots.

When I got it zeroed in,I found hit the taggets bulls eye the size of a dime, then proceeded to make another 2 pellets go through the SAME HOLE.

Its really been a struggle to get a working gun and scope for me,but the 800x with the RGB BSA and GRT is a deadly combo.

I sure hope this scope withstands the test of time.
