Yea, I'm trying to figure this out...nows does I wants a Marauder, Evanix AR6 or the Condor...what? .22 or .25 caliber.

I have a RWS 52 in .25...love it, have several other springers, side lever, under lever and barrel benders in .177 and .22.

Want to go PCP now.

I would loooove to get a DAQ in ,.458 or even the .308, but not right now.

Need a PCP .25 or .22, preferably a .25 but....

It will be used for whacking vermin and such...from rats to yotes.

Heeeeeelp! Please, Thanx.

The biggest problem with most PCP's is how smooth they shoot. In comparison to your Springers, nothing happens. Mr. Green

Well, I'll be whacking vermin... from the scurvy rat to the rabid coyote.

I shoot highpower and service rifle so ranges will be....as far as I feel like shootin' at that particular time!

Probably bustin' on raccoons, they are thick around here! I do so love the lowly opossum so I don't foresee killing those too often.

Rats...plenty of those turds to keep your skills honed on...problem is they tend to hang around dwellings so....

...oh and the squirrels, can't forget those, just the ones around the back of the house, they are 'city' squirrels so I won't be eating them.
I do squirrel hunt, with a .22MAG. Love a skillet of fried squirrel with gravy...yum!

So tell me a story... durability, balance, quirks, dollar value...all the secrets you airgun gurus know about the above mentioned rifles. lol

I hear the Marauder is the hot steaming deal... was checking out the Daystates today...damn! Sweet, but $1200 +++ or better for one, I don't exactly know about that!

Just took a look at the Theoben's...nice. How are they? Just a tad out of reach right now though.... but maybe...just maybe! lol
And the AirArms S-410... the guy on the phone was really big on this one but I don't know, I liked the Weihrauch HW 100 also.

What to get......

and ...Thanx. Neutral

All are good choices for a PCP.I like the Marauder because it is so quiet.I think it is the best bang for your buck.Where I live silence is golden.A Condor is sweet, but they are LOUD with the power wheel turned up.The AR6 isn't quiet either.BUT both the Condor, and AR6 put out some serious FPE!I was low on funds so I ordered a Discovery with a TKO Brake.. "Decent power too".I wouldn't try to bag a Yote with one though,as I don't Think it would be enough. If I wasn't concerned about noise, and had the funds,I would get a Condor.65 FPE out of a Condor would put a smack down on a Yote, with a well placed shot.

Hi..I have a AR6..Great guns...well built but they
have a limited shot count only about 15 full power shots
but as the power starts droping they still have more punch
than a marurder at full power...
They are VERY noisey...as loud as a rimfire...
Apart fom those draw backs they are one kick a$$ killer..
At 20m a bunny head won't stop a 32gr pellet....
The AR can be tuned to put out 93fpe from the standard
65fpe...but only 8 full power shots...

Another gun you mite look at is a Career Infinity .22 or .25
I have a .22..They shoot a 14.5 gr @ 1220fps....45fpe
Its a 6 shot mag with side lever cocking

How is the quality of the Evanix AR6. I have heard that the fit, finish and overall durability is not as good as some other rifles in the same price range.

FPE is what I am after...lots o' whack!

What can I expect to pay for an Evanix AR6 or the Condor... all I can go by is what the store down the street has or the web prices.

I work at a custom firearms shop so we may be able to get it at dealer cost...?

I'll check out the Career Infinity on the web, I know the airgun store down the road does not have any of those.

Also, if I can't get one at dealer cost, who is the best to purchase from?
Thanx-

Well the boss man says we can get a Marauder at cost....
I am leaning more towards FPE and have been looking at the Quackenbush .30 cal.
An awesome piece, if I do say so!
If I'm going to stay with the .22cal stuff, I think the AR6 is first choice, but the cost of the Marauder is cheap, so I'm still undecided!

I may just save my rubles and wait on a DAQ .30.....

Any thoughts on the Quackenbushes, the Marauder OVER the AR6?

Well, if you like FPE and build quality you could also take a look at Beaumont. Mr. Green

That does mean you are going to pay to much. Razz

Damn nice irons, those Beaumont's....but I'm not going to mortgage the farm or nothing like that.

....so the question still stands...in the .22 arena...the AR6 or the Marauder...

or... wait it out(save cash) for a DAQ .30...

for years I had the responsibility of multi million dollar equipment, and the lives of many riding in that equipment... now, I can't even make up my mind on a air rifle....shame! Shocked

I'd go for the AR6. To be honest, the Marauder may be fine, but the AR6 is a bit more challenging to shoot, looks better in my opinion, and it's got a real nice revolver-like action. Wink

I spoke with DAQ this AM...nice guy, seemed to be a bit aggravated, but I know about customers bombing you with questions all day.

The lead time for a DAQ is something like 6 months from now just to place an order and who knows how long to receive that order.

I suppose I'll look into the Air Arms, but the Marauder is much less costly to purchase.

I'm having trouble justifying a .22 caliber PCP that delivers the Marauder's FPE is since I have a RWS Model 52 in .25 caliber.

I don't exactly know but I think the Model 52 in .25 may be making more a$$ than a Marauder in .22...I really don't know and if someone could help with these figures, I would appreciate it.

The stock Marauder isn't that high in the fpe range but if your into mods you should be able to get into the range of an AR6. One guy here has modded the disco to get in the 40s-50s fpe and he made it sound easy Smile
You keep mentioning that you can get the Marauder cheap, mind sharing your secret method I'd love to get one but the price is too steep for me at the moment.

I work at a gun store. I told the boss my delima and out of the kindness of his heart he said if one of our distributors had it he would roll it into the next order at that place.

I found one. While I cannot say what the price is, as per the boss, I can say that what I have seen them online for is $150 more than other places I have seen them for. I have looked at them at Pyramid Airgun mall...?

There, I don't think I'll get canned over that statement.
