THIS IS A FORTNIGHTLY TARGET, SHOOT ANY TIME IN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS

Target to download and print: Fortnight 93; Aug 24>Sept 6/2009

1)Print to full-size on an A4 or 8.5"x11" sheet of paper.
2) Shooting distance is 5m/16.4ft for pistols.
3) Shooting distance is 10m/32.8ft for rifles.
3a) The rules for shooting 5m or 10 m are that the distance from the target to the firing line should be 10m for rifle and 5m for pistol.
All shots, from whatever shooting position must be made with the competitor wholly behind the firing line but able to touch it.
Basically the shooter should be behind the line but the part of the gun not being held by the shooter can protrude past the line.
4) All targets to be shot standing
5) Any sighting device may be used.
6) NO rests or steadying aids are allowed.
7) 20 shots total, 1 per target maximum. Up to 5 sighting/practice shots not on the clock using the Green
8) 15 minutes total time (take whatever amount of time for each shot you like, but at 15 minutes-stop!).
9) Scoring is 10 for black 0 for white. Only one hit per target counts. Maximum point count is 200.
10) Entries need to be scanned or photographed and posted. Please list gun, pellet, sighting device and total time expended.
11) You can enter using both a pistol and a rifle as separate entries, only one entry for each, but all rules must be followed.
12) Score your own target. Winner and Runner-Up will be verified by board officials.
13) An honourable contest for sport- to lie or cheat, is the only real loser. Please keep it above-board!
14) Each competition runs for 2 weeks. Your entry must be posted in the forum no later than 23:00 GMT on the last Sunday.
15) These rules are for this week's shooting competition and may change for others

Please make sure that the blue border is visible on your entry, plus the green dot is 12mm diameter on A4 paper.

Hey i haven't shot in months. Sad to say that i can't shoot where I am, that's why I haven't been here...Oh I miss the shoot outs.

Was unable to shoot the last one, but Alstone shot a great target.
Way to go!! Not sure I could have beaten you.
Maybe you should get a "real" 10m rifle and have a go.

Silhouettes! Looks neat. I know they have scale metal air gun targets,
but I have never done it. Yet another reason to mount a scope on the gun.

Okay, printed out the target, rejoiced that they weren't bullseyes!!
Then, of course, wondered what kind of sight picture I was going to get
through the peep.

Aimed and held hard for the chickens and turkeys.
Relaxed a bit on the pigs and rams. Almost relaxed too much!
Had to hurry a bit, as time was a little tight

Really enjoyed shooting this.

Nice shooting again oatring, I also like silhouette shooting it’s good practice for F/T. Unfortunatly I won’t be able to shoot this week as the garden pond liner as split and I have to get that sorted before all the fish die, plus it’s been raining for three days now and the garden looks like the Somme, mud everywhere. Smile

It should be easy to win if I'm the only entrant.

You should post on the general boards and tell the FT shooters that they have to compete to defend their honor against this unruly 10m shooter who is kicking butt and taking names.

Maybe rile them up so they will enter.

I’m not sure what will entice a few more shooters, there does not appear to be many FT devotees around, or come to that target shooters either. I’ve tried insulting, cajoling and questioning there capabilities with an airgun all to no avail. There are a few members who look at the site each week but do not post a target, you would think that with over two thousand members there would be more shooters, even changing the target type makes no difference, all I can think of is that people who would like to shoot are afraid of posting a $hit target score, well if they do at least they give it a try and it can only get better.

PS: My pond is now back in working order after fitting a new liner, so I will be shooting next week.

I've been neglecting you guys so I made ABSOLUTELY sure i BOTH shot AND posted this week...

I have a little issue with scope on the 2300 and I'm not ready to give up on it yet. I tried the target 2x. Once with my 1377 and the leftover willaims rear sight from the 2300... ahhhhhh - NO..... Need more open sight practice and maybe better sights on a better gun before that's going to get posted publically.

Next attempt was the rifle. I've been doing pretty well with my Crosman custom shop 2400 so I gave that a 'shot'
