Well, new to me...just got a used 350 and was wondering what scope you guys would recommend. I'm leaning towards a 3-9 x 40 leapers. Are they tough enough to handle the 350? If you have a 350, what scope do you have on it.

You will need the Leapers droop compensator base. Just makes everything easier. It converts the Diana dovetail to a weaver. The base has some cleaver design that put the stop at the front, the the weaver rails have the dados in them which should stop anything.
If that doesn't work... then you might need to drill a nice hole through the base for a dedicated stop pin.
Leapers scopes look like clones of CenterPoint. Leapers advertises some of their scopes as "True Strength" that is supposed to hold up on anything. CP also has a similar guarantee to hold up on "magnum springers to a .416 Rigby". My CenterPoint has held up plenty well enough on a magnum springer and a medium power one.
I do plan to get a Leapers or CenterPoint the next time I need a scope. Hell it might get mounted on a Mosin. |
