Looking at a Remington Summit .177 . Is it a very good and can you tell me if is accurate. Are is it a better gun out there. The Summit is O.K. for the price - not junk, but not the best either. You might consider something in .22 if your main purpose is hunting. The Summit shares the same frustrating trigger design with the other Remington/Crosman break barrels, as well as with Gamo and some Chinese models. Hi...If yer after a Remington...go for the Genesis .177 as for the .177 v .22 debate will go on for ever... either is OK for up to rabbit size game.... No, really. There's footage but youtube keeps deleting it. I did have to install one of the aformentioned GRT triggers from CDT and that made a world of difference. It's like anything else, in capable hands both are useful tools. Above all else this means knowing your gun/tool, knowing what it's capablities are, knowing what you're capablities are. And finally practice! practice! practice!. Beyond that, it's making sure you feed either one what ever pellets it likes the best. Where a .22 is for anything up to raccoon size given proper fpe. Anything bigger and then you go into the big bore category.
