That's pretty reasonable. I hear a lot of time that you need to tighten the bolts once in a while, or maybe even locktite them. |

| Well, when I get mine, I am going to break out my stick welder and run one big huge bead all over every metal part. This will prevent it from falling apart for sure. Especially when I weld the scope on the gun. Why even fuss with a mount that may move? Forget about it. Or maybe if I encase it in concrete or bury it it will be fine. As far as the folding stock goes, a better idea than even that is to just cut the stock and have a pistol grip. I know, if I was any smarter I'd be making my own pellet guns. Watch out, Diana! |

That's really unnecessary. The most I would do is remove the stock Diana scope base and have one milled from solid steel. TIG weld it on. Maybe... Just maybe would I weld the mounts onto the base.
If you weld it on there, then you can no longer use iron sights... should your scope break.
About the stock... you could chop it off at the end of the pistol grip and then mount in a nut, put a screw into the butt piece and then it can be quickly dis/re assembled. Just an idea. If you were going to ruin a beautiful piece of wood you might as well hollow out part of the butt to make a trapdoor for maybe some hex head wrenches (get the same type of bolt all over your gun, less tools). Now you have a small took kit in the butt, probably with enough room to spare for a tin of pellets.
Not sure if it would all fit in tight enough to not rattle when you shake the gun.. that could be worked around however. |
