| I want to setup a gun for my grandmother's house, to leave there, as a 20 yard starling, blackbird, and sparrow rifle. I have a 1077 that I ordered a long time ago that is siiting in the safe, and don't know if i want to sell it to buy something better, or make it better and useful for the open position. How will a 1077 take HPA or c02 bulk to make it more stable, and how is the gun overall at being a 20 yard gun, so as not to put holes in feeders and such? Also considering an RWS 850 for the job. |

I don't think the 1077 can take HPA that well, you'll need a bit more to do it. It's, in my opinion, a bit to flimsy a rifle to convert to HPA.
The RWS 850 is a much better rifle, in terms of pretty much everything. |

| I guess it just may go in the classifieds with the 392 and HB22 then. Disco, Talon, or HPA 850, choices choices. |

| The 1077 will work fine a 20 yards if there are no problems with the barrel crown and you stabilize the barrel in the tube. You can bulk feed the 1077 with Co2 or air at about 1000psi, no higher or you will get valve lock. |
