No, they are upholding their duties as board staff to keep outright illegal activity out of here. Nobody needs any "heat" coming down on them- the poster of a topic or the forum itself.

I personally don't want this forum to become known as a place where all the f-ups come to hang out and encourage illegal activities- other posts where outright criminal enterprise has been encouraged (like returning guns that have been f#cked up intentionally for parts) have been deleted.

As it is apparent in this case that no one knew they were involved in an illegal activity when it occurred, and they have since learned- this particular topic is good for educational purposes so someone else doesn't do something that could get them into trouble. If everyone here just sat about and said things like "good kill" and "yeehah" it would become a shorter and shorter road to the entire place being known as hillbilly heaven and the place to go to act like a brainless turd- which then leads to the inevitable end in the form of a forum chock full of kids putting up two-word posts that have little or no relevance to anything and real discussion and communication leaves.

Hence why I choose not to post what I do when out in the woods with an airgun... and why I don't ask questions about what my neighbors do- they don't question me.

Eric,

On that note, admittedly I have mentioned that I needed to do certain things because I felt it nessary to provide food for my family and I. And this has required me to do certain things not nessarily legally.

Fortunilly this is all in the past now. Past month or so several major events have given my family and I much needed relief from our situation. So I no longer need to certain things any longer.

I do have a questions though, and I think it's along the lines of where this thread is going. While things are turning around for me and mine, it will be some time before the state will allow me an offical hunting license. If hunting private land, do you still need a license and or tags for certain game species? Simlar question is when there's an over abondance of a game spieces, it then becomes a pest, how do hunting laws and regulations apply?

In what state, province, or country are you located?

I know that in Indiana you could take deer on your own land if you were a land owner and didn't have a license, but only during the normal hunting season and all other rules apply. I'm sure other states have similar sanctions where land owners have more rights to do what they want on their own land, including killing animals that destroy crops, etc.

I'm in Cook County, Illinois. There's no hunting allowed in this county...way over populated...eg...City of Chicago is within the same county.

With everything turning in my favor, I should have my driver's licence back by november 1st. Hopefully I'll be able to fix my beater truck up by then, I could then offer labor for hunting privledges then.

or, you could do "pest control" work for a bit of cash and being able to keep whatever "pests" you may kill (if they are edible or salable for their hides "who wants a Davey Crockett hat?").

Guys, don't be sad about all the regulations. Over here, you need a permit for everything. Mr. Green

One explanation might be population density:

The Netherlands are on 27. The USA is on 177. Wink (I like the 177, Airguns FTW!)
