You have much to learn, yet, little snowbunny.

There is this place called Ohio, and Indiana. They happen to be JUST south of Michigan...

Well, SB, by the time you're gonna prove you're a man you'll have to buy a springer anyway. Mr. Green

By the way, tuning a PCP down a bit can have some advantages, like increase in shot count. Wink

I see, well I have a relative in Ohio that I will be ordering all my airguns too. Sadly Im going to have to wait and order everything at once. This means I have to order my Marauder, my disco, and my 2400kt all at the same time. Sadly, now I will actually have to wait until the end of next summer and not just buy as I go lol. Edit:Because I am going to buy everything at once, i am going to do it in two runs. First i am going to buy a Marauder, and a Disco with two or three tanks(Am I better off getting one large tank? Like a scuba tank?) A hand pump, a connection hose thingy, a Pellet selection kit, and anything I need to maintenance them. Then when I order the 2400kt and a custom pistol from Crosman I would order what ever pellets work best for my marauder and disco. My question is, what caliber should I get everything in. Basically I want to know if a .22 will go as far, and be as accurate as a .177. And would it be a good idea to get the 2400/etc. in .177?

if you have a tank you don't need a pump. multiple tanks are not needed unless your maxing the power and need to shoot 1000 rounds a day.

the marauder will mostly make a disco useless. i don't miss my disco..

1 3000 psi tank will give in .177 probably 1500 shots on a fill.

.22 has more range ability. hands down..

the marauder is pellet picky because of the choked barrel. the last segment of the barrel is a smaller diameter to grab the pellet skirt and give better accuracy. so far it only likes jsb's and beeman pellets which are expensive.

i most likley won't buy another tank cuz it looks like i'll get 800+ shots on one fill with what i have running 28fpe peak.

the disco though isn't choked and will shoot anything.

as for accuracy. the marauder has been confirmed to put 10 15.9 grain jsb's into a dime at 50 yards right out of the box in .22.

i know little of 22xx's.

finally. to agree with broom. dropping the power to say 20-23 fpe does sound good to get more shot per fill. unless your totaly crazy like joe Laughing how much power do you need?

i've killed rats with my crosman 760 at 400fps just as dead as anything else i have. Mr. Green

Here is a tank fill calculator:

http://www.airhog.com/tank.htm

This is what the results look like:

Tank Size: 80 cf
Tank Fill Pressure: 3000 psi
Fill Gun to What Pressure? 2000 psi
Gun Cylinder Size: 135 cc
Refill Gun When it Reaches What Pressure? 1000 psi

Number of Refills: 82

I used a standard 80 cu.ft. SCUBA tank and a Disco in the example above.... figure 30 shots per fill and you get about 2500 shots per tank.... Shocked

Note, you can't fill a 3000 psi gun completely full even once from a 3000 psi tank.... Shocked

Bob

I have no idea if the Marauder has the same size reservoir.... if it is, and you are using an 80 cu.ft. tank and filling to 2400 from 1000, the calculator says 35 fills.... of course the initial fill would take more.... Sure shows the difference between 2000 psi and 2400 though.... Shocked

If you are only getting 25 fills, my guess is that either you have a 72 cu.ft. tank (the other common size).... the pressure was less than 3000 after it was filled (did they let it cool and top it up?).... or the Marauder tube is bigger than a Disco tube (what is the OD?)....
