Little over a month ago I order some discovery hammer springs to swap ou the stock one in my 2300kt. I ordered 5 of part# 1761-009 or #30 in the diagram.

As discussed a multiple times on here, I understand that by swapping this spring will hold the valve open just a wee bit longer, give my pistol a bit more umph.

While researching my next project on modifying a discovery, I seen a pic by pic walk through on doing some trigger work. And they noted which was the hammer spring. Going by that picture, that hammer spring is MUCH smaller then the one already inside my 2300kt.

Did I order the right part? I'm holding off doing any work on my pistol until I have ALL the parts I want/need on hand to do what I want to before taking it apart. It's taking alot of patients not wanting to install the hammer debounce these springs, while I'm saving up for the next batch of parts from mountain air.

Thanks,

Jax

The part number you used is correct for Discovery hammer springs. What you've seen somewhere else can't be addressed very well without a link and/or additional info.

Understood Eric. I didn't want to take it appart just to check to compare the springs. I'm afraid that if I take it apart and putting back together repeatedly that I'll end up messing up the threads that hold the whole thing together. As long as you verified that I did order the right part, makes me feel much better!

Thanks!!!
