Welcome to the forum, SnowBunny!
Forget BB's - lead pellets will be much better in terms of accuracy and power. $200.00 will give you a number of choices. What do you want to do with it? Hunt? Eliminate pests? Punch paper? Kill tin cans? |

That being said, learning to shoot well with a standard Gamo trigger will make a star shooter out of you! |

Welcome. I have a Crosman G1. Shoots good and was only $99.
It's a springer, so you don't have to pump it, just break the barrel, load a pellet and shoot.
As Slavia mentioned, installing a better trigger would really help this gun. I haven't done this yet, so mine is a little stiff. But I still like it. |

Tuned means that someone (in this case Mike Melick) took the gun apart, polished, ground down burrs, lubed, put in a new spring (possibly), new seal (possibly), selected the rifle for having "good" wood on it. Test fired it, put it over the chrono, adjusted (including polish + lube) the trigger, and in general made the gun fire much better.
The improved firing cycle, resulting is more consistent (although not always higher) velocities, and a more accurate gun.
Get the .177 version. |
