Well this little fella must not have heard through the grapevine that you DO NOT mess wit the feeder Twisted Evil

If you look at his eye u can see where the pellet penetrated just above his eye. This pic was taken 2 days ago I've just been busy. Since then we have had a massive storm and my tree with my feeder actually fell over Neutral . It was dead anyways all rotted out on the inside. At least it didnt fall on my house Rolling Eyes

You can still keep the feeder on that last remaining limb. The tree rats won't care that the rest of it fell over.

I thought that too when my bird trees fell down, but it just opens up new opportunities to hunt. You may have to bait them more, or better than before, but you can make it work.

I have a squirrel trap set up on my fence. It is several log sections piled up almost 4 ft high, next to a fence post. On top of this approx 10 inch log section, I pile a small amount of sunflower seeds. When a rodent come crawling along the fence and spots the seeds, he usually stops and snacks for a while. Native red squirrels get a pass from us. They are smaller and kinda cute, a protected species in Washington. But the invasive species, the big Grays, are not welcome and dispatched as often as possible. I put the carcasses in a thicket outside my fence where the coyotes and raccoons dine on them.

This particular spot on the fence around my back yard, lies just outside my basement home office, where I often spend the day. Sitting in my office chair, I can slide open the window, prop my RWS M48.22, with its Leapers scope on top a camera tripod, and take my shot. Distance per the adjustable objective lens is about 8 yards. Needless to say, shot placement is precise. Those fat Gray squirrels are dispatched to their rodent hells in a most humane and painless manner.

This particular Dianawerke .22 rifle is very accurate, shooting 1/2 inch groups at 50 yards with the right pellets. Its pretty much stock. It was a demo from Airgun Express, and those people installed a proper C mount before shipping it to me. The trigger is light enough, but has way too much overtravel. After much testing, so far it likes 14 grain pellets, RWS Klugelnmeisters and JSB Extras. It distains Crosman Premiers. Hunting with this baby is a dream with lots of action, if you can call it that. More like keeping the neighborhood safe from The Plague. - CW
